Personal Statement

Jim Dunne's family were pioneer farmers and ranchers in New York, Iowa, Utah, Montana, Wyoming and California. Jim is a fifth generation born in Los Angeles, California, where his great great grandfather built the first fire wagon in that city.

Jim earned his MS in Range Management at UC Berkeley and has worked on the restoration of ESA, special status species, and wetland habitat for several decades. Jim has lived, worked, explored, and done ecological research in California, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, and Montana.
