Alpine Grazing Campaigner for the Victorian National Parks Association

Personal Statement

I have a background in environmental education, both within and outside government agencies. I am currently employed by the Victorian National Parks Association (VNPA), a non-government conservation organisation, for the last two years. The VNPA has been campaigning for better protection of biodiversity in Victoria, Australia, since 1952. We are currently campaigning to have licensed cattle grazing removed from Victoria's Alpine National Park. Despite abundant scientific evidence that cattle grazing cause great harm to the alps (no hard-hooved animals are native to Australia), legislation still allows the practice to continue.
