Former coordinator of the Grazing Reform project at the Center for Biological Diversity in Tucson, Arizona (, and instigator of a collaboration with ranchers that resulted in the arrival of legislation in Congress in October 2003 for a buyout of public land grazing permits in Arizona ( Martin has moved back to his home country Australia where he is preparing to begin similar work to stop land degradation by livestock on public lands.
